The choices behind the page.

Type is the structure.

Playfair Display for the large type. Geist for the rest. Both are self-hosted. Warm black, paper and a little brass. Photography supplies the color.

The pages are already built.

Next.js App Router, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS. Writing lives in MDX. Motion handles the transitions. The site exports to static HTML, CSS and JavaScript for Apache web hosting at Hostinger.

Less movement when you ask.

The site respects reduced-motion preferences. The opening sequence runs once per session. Reading, links and navigation work without the choreography.
