Gabe Key is a photographer and operator based in Apex, North Carolina. His work connects a photography practice with business development and company building. Each role has its own scope: GKeyPhoto is the photography practice, Firmkit is the company he founded, and Secur-Tek is where he leads business development as an employee.

The story starts at 13, on an Xbox. As Baboosh, Gabe streamed on Mixer and then Twitch, founded and managed Team Eminent, ran its Minecraft server and co-hosted the Eminent Podcast with Archie. His streams were sponsored by NordVPN, HelloFresh, Factor75, MCProHosting, HBO Max and RAID: Shadow Legends. Viewers could interact with the stream through Mix It Up, and the work taught him the baseline of his social media skills: algorithm analysis and strategy. The archive keeps that record.

Gabe picked up a camera at 15 and built the practice from scratch. It has grown to more than 400 photography clients. The work includes family photographs, graduation sessions, headshots, sports, events and weddings across Apex, Cary, Raleigh and the Triangle. GKeyPhoto maintains the full portfolio and booking information, separate from this personal site.

He served as Visual Arts Editor of The East Carolinian. His photograph of Kamala Harris on the East Carolina University campus earned a North Carolina College Media Association award. His work has been featured in The East Carolinian and published in Carolina Alumni Magazine and Pirate Media 1. Those publication credits sit alongside the client practice.

His event and press coverage includes Presidents Donald Trump, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton; Vice President Kamala Harris; Governor Josh Stein; and Tim Walz. These are subjects photographed at events. The coverage does not imply endorsement, a personal relationship or official access. Music and stage work includes Ludacris, 21 Savage, Chief Keef, PartyNextDoor and Dreamville Festival. Sports coverage includes the ECU versus NC State game in Annapolis. His photography practice also includes international clients in England, France and Germany.

At Secur-Tek, Gabe leads business development, covering marketing, sales and brand strategy. The Apex company serves residential and commercial security and low-voltage needs across the Triangle. His approved public work includes a website rebuild, a Google Business Profile correction, a CRM rebuild and an internal operating standard. The work entry states the employee relationship before describing those deliverables.

Gabe founded Firmkit in 2026. Firmkit installs and runs an operating kit for owner-operated trade companies in the Triangle. Its website, profile, CRM, intake and follow-up scope is described on Firmkit's own site. It is a separate business from Secur-Tek, and this site does not present the employer's work as a Firmkit client engagement.

Gabe is a marketing student at East Carolina University, with an expected graduation in 2028. His current work is based in the Triangle. This site is the place to understand the person across those roles, read his notes, and follow the appropriate link to the photography practice or company work.
